Frequently Asked Questions

The Scalp micropigmentation is a non-surgical cosmetic tattoo that uses a tiny needles to mimic and replicate individual hair follicles, making the scalp appear shaved, not only from a distance, but also up close. It’s a popular technique that allows you to restore the natural look of a shaved head in areas of the scalp prone to baldness and hair loss.

Both men and women have welcomed this minimally invasive procedure with great enthusiasm as a solution to hair loss. It is a quick, safe and healthy solution for male pattern baldness, scalp scarring and thinning hair.

For those who prefers to keep their hair long, micropigmentation can reduce or completely eliminate  the contrast between the bald scalp and remaining hair. The end result is an appearance of thick, strong and healthy hair.

In order to achieve the best results, multiple color shades and needle sizes will be used. The pigments used are vegan and cruelty-free, they do not change color, and they can last several years. When the pigment starts to fade, it will not be mixed or smeared, but rather gradually absorbed. At that time you will simply make an appointment for a touch up procedure.

Scalp micropigmentation is a permanent procedure that, if done correctly can last several years. Your lifestyle and immune system will effect the longevity of your SMP treatment. Some fading shortly after procedure is normal and will be corrected in follow-up sessions.
In our opinion this is a great hair loss solution because it looks natural, it’s cost effective, it’s non-surgical, and the results are instant.

Each situation is different, and a consultation will be required in order to give you an accurate estimate.

The duration of a full SMP treatment usually takes between 10-12 hours, and it will take multiple sessions to complete the treatment. The total duration and the number of sessions will vary from case to case.

In order to give you an accurate estimate for the duration of your treatment, you will need to come for an in person visit so that I can look at your scalp. If you are not based in Edmonton, or if you would rather not meet in person, then sending pictures via email will also be a viable option. Click the link below to get started today.
